Amazon officially announced that it will postpone the increase in storage and transportation costs for independent sellers until June 2021.
In fact, Amazon’s goodwill is really a very wise move.
According to Amazon's official announcement, in 2020, Amazon's third-party seller sales will be 295 billion U.S. dollars, and self-operated sales will be 180 billion U.S. dollars. This means that Amazon's total merchandise sales will reach 475 billion U.S. dollars in 2020!
Moreover, Amazon's total product delivery during the 2020 holiday season has exceeded 1.5 billion pieces, setting a new company record.
In fact, it is not just the Amazon platform. According to a report by Tencent Technology, due to the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic and its restrictions in the United States, during this year's holiday shopping season, many Americans abandon shopping in malls and choose online shopping instead.
During this period, online sales of US e-commerce companies soared by 49%, and online sales accounted for one-fifth (19.7%) of total retail sales this holiday season, which is 13.4% higher than in 2019.
